Plant-Based Feel Good Food

At Komo, our mission is to help make plant-based meals a staple on every dinner table by sharing our love for feel-good food that connects the people to the planet. We believe Change can start with a single bite™️. We want to be the answer to the question “What’s for dinner?” through our familiar, feel-good favourites that bring people together - and we make them plant-based.

Our products are sold direct-to-consumer through our eCommerce website and a distribution network of online and brick-and-mortar grocery, convenience, and natural retailer channels. Our operating subsidiary Komo Comfort Foods launched in 2021 with our flagship plant-based products: Lasagna, Shepherd’s Pie, and Chick’n Pot Pie. We recently launched a new line - Komo Plant-Based Meal HelpersTM - versatile meal starters to allow the creation of plant-based dishes at home.

We believe that plant-based eating is the way of the future, a style of eating that is kind to the planet, people, and animals. We can’t wait to share it with you.

We start with 100% plant-based and wholesome ingredients to create premium frozen comfort favourites that make plant-based eating easy, yet ultimately satisfying. We are an emerging company dedicated to growth, longevity, awareness, and most of all, goodness. We are well-positioned in the plant-based business sector with our targeted research and development, manufacturing, and distribution functionalities.

Our plant-based comfort foods blend the right amount of real, wholesome cooking with the science and technology of developing innovative plant-based recipes to deliver hearty, satisfying food experiences. We put each of our meals through multiple tests to make sure it meets our standards in taste, nutrients, durability, and scalability. We are looking to develop two new product lines within the next year and work on intellectual property in plant based meal and prepared food applications. Each of our plant-based comfort foods combines easy-to-love meals with plant-based innovation. Our product must haves are:

Wholesome – everything is made from scratch with recognizable, whole-food ingredients.

Easy – we make enjoying plant-based dinner time convenient and stress-free. Answering the everyday question of “What’s for Dinner?”

Hearty – each dish is developed to be satisfying, fulfilling, and with familiar flavors that bring people together.

Shareworthy – food brings people together, and our foods are made to be shared with loved ones.

All our products are cooked from scratch in our commercial kitchen space in Vancouver. Our innovative recipes are created by Chef Fred with commercial scalability in mind. We blend traditional cooking techniques and plant-based food formulation to create meals with 100% whole plant-based ingredients. In our next stage of growth, we are partnering with co-manufacturers to scale production for a national launch.We are proud of our food packaging in design and purpose to meet clean label consumers. Each frozen meal has a shelf life of one year and is prepared with the safest food preparation based on Safe Food for Canadians Regulations (SFCR).

Our plant-based comfort foods are sold direct-to-consumer and through retail partners locally in BC. We are continually expanding our distribution to share our easy-to-love classics nationwide. We have a two-phase approach to our distribution roll-out.

PHASE 1: LAUNCHED DTC LOCALLY IN METRO VANCOUVER IN MARCH 2021

Retail channels with brick-and-mortar grocery and convenience stores as well as cafes

Validate product-market-fit and refine products, branding and messaging

Build DTC channel to gather feedback from local consumers and early supporters

PHASE 2: FALL 2021, SCALE UP PRODUCTION TO LAUNCH INTO NATIONALLY
